Coach Project Engineers to conduct and/or lead problem solving and investigation to improve designs and implement the right solution.
Review Engineer deliverables in details and support technically each project.
Understand and ensure the compliance to requirements (both internal and external).
Manage Engineering team workload capacity and skills to support defined projects respecting priorities.
Enforce application and improve processes and standardize and develop the good practices.
Review regularly Configuration changes progress and monitor the completion / implementation on time.
Coordinate with R&D lab capacity and execution of tests.
Coordinate CAD system, software, IT tools, improvement following Management and Corporate direction.
Report team performances/issues and support on daily issues.
Prepare various reports to be reviewed and validated by higher Management levels.
Lead lean and continuous improvement activities including 5S audits, improvements initiatives to optimize design, configuration change, problem solving, testing processes.
Resolve containable conflicts within the department and escalate to the department Manager in any uncontrollable situations.
Define a development plan for all team members leading to a training plan to maintain and improve team skills and capability.
Set, control and monitor the budget and validate project budget per the department Manager’s direction.
Drive all activities in a safe manner and in accordance to Aerospace standards.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Professional experience larger than 7 years in Engineering field required.
Proficient experience in Engineering field, aerospace or automotive.
Good technical skills to support drawing, 3D model, test procedure and report reviews
Excellent knowledge in at least one of these fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Software is a plus.
Good Excel, data management skills is a plus.
Leadership and organization skills necessary.
Experience in team and people management required.
Good English communication skills or an international experience is an advantage.
