The foundations for SalesLogs began back in 2003 when John Fountain, then an Automotive Sales Consultant, started writing spreadsheets to track the results of sales in the sales department. As the spreadsheet improved, more and more managers began requesting their own version. Over time, as Sales Managers changed locations, they would take the Sales Log with them resulting in an increasing volume of users.

Since the initial spreadsheet began, John has worked in the areas of Sales, Aftermarket and Finance within the Automotive Industry, as well as developing software solutions for many small and large businesses in other industries outside of the motor trade. One such project includes a risk management tool that was developed for a subsidiary company of Woolworths Limited – one of Australia’s largest companies.

As John’s work experience developed, he continued to improve the Sales Log and pass the benefits on to his customers. By the end of 2012, the time and technology was right for SalesLogs to be established as a company and to focus on its core product.

SalesLogs is now dedicated full time to developing a new generation of sales reporting tools that combine the benefits of Cloud technology with a proven spreadsheet style reporting product.
