Responsibilities
- Provide support for the project's functional area or the entire team as required by the project team's structure.
- Review drawing specs, as-built drawings, operations manuals, and other project documents.
- Site-specific inspections as directed by the line manager or QA/QC process, and record it in line with the site documents as well as assist the manager in developing site inspections.
- Monitor and advise line managers on all their work within a specific area of concern, and record any work non-compliant with the drawings and specifications.
- Assist with Health & Safety and inform the line manager of any infringements.
- Assist in developing project commissioning procedures.
- Degree qualified in Civil engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in a construction background/site environment.
- Working knowledge of plans, engineering drawings, and specifications associated with engineering work is required for the position.
- Computer literacy. Significant experience with Excel, Word, and other computer-based tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD & Navisworks or any BIM software would be an added advantage.
- Good organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collate materials into a template report.
- Good team player and able to adapt to changes within the construction process.
- Good time management skills with the ability to work under tight timeframes on occasion.
- Good in English.
