Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures and guidelines related to audit and risk management across the bank in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Manage the implementation of audit plans including preparation of schedules, scopes, methodologies, drafting of reports and follow-up on management actions plans. Provide assurance to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors on the effectiveness of the Bank’s internal controls and risk management processes. Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines related to audit and risk management across the bank in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Manage the implementation of audit plans including preparation of schedules, scopes, methodologies, drafting of reports and follow-up on management action plans.
* Provide assurance to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors on the effectiveness of the Bank’s internal controls and risk management processes.
* Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing measures.
* Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.
* Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards, and incorporate them into the Bank's policies and procedures.
* Identify areas for improvement in the Bank's governance and risk management framework and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Monitor trends and emerging risks and develop strategies to mitigate their impact on the Bank.
* Support the development of training programs aimed at enhancing staff awareness and understanding of risk management principles and practices.
