- ความเที่ยงธรรมและตรงไปตรงมา มีการตรวจสอบโดยปราศจากอคติ พิจารณาเหตุผลและหลักฐานจากข้อมูลที่มี
- ทักษะการสื่อสารและการทำงานเป็นทีม ผู้ที่สมัครงานตรวจสอบภายในจะต้องสามารถประสานงานกับแผนกต่าง ๆ ได้อย่างราบรื่น และเป็นไปตามข้อกำหนดต่าง ๆ
- การคิดวิเคราะห์อย่างเป็นเหตุเป็นผล เพื่อใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ความเสี่ยง และตรวจสอบการดำเนินงานขององค์กรอย่างรอบด้าน
- การได้รับใบอนุญาตสากล (Certified Internal Auditor : CIA) หรือสอบผู้ตรวจสอบภายในของประเทศไทย (Certified Professional Internal Auditor Thailand : CPIAT)
