- Responsible for sourcing of new materials/parts for new projects, improvements and localization as well as searching for an alternatives of obsolete parts.
- Support the assigned commodities’ projects with technical and analytical skill in terms of Engineering.
- Responsible for negotiation of Fixed and Variable Costs with suppliers on new materials or price increase aiming to achieve best the TCO – Total Cost of Ownership.
- Assisting QA and Manufacturing with First Article Inspection process by coordinating supplier activities – in consideration of CAE and MGA, direction to get aligned process for Unity.
- Monitor and share feedback to suppliers based on cost, quality and delivery.
- Review and coordinate the suppliers’ parts to be in compliant with P.O. requirements, specifications, engineering drawings and required standards.
- Assist in reviewing ERP system for input and output with continuous improvement for better information and reporting.
- Works as a liaison to design engineering to understand specifications and performance test requirements in order to facilitate procurement of materials for aeronautical and aerospace products: Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment.
Investigates potential suppliers and recommends those most desirable.
- Assess suppliers regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to parts and equipment.
- Arranges and participates in conferences between suppliers and engineers, purchasers, inspectors, and other company personnel to facilitate material inspection, substitution, standardization, rework, salvage, utilization, and economical procurement of parts and equipment installed in aircraft or related products.
- Work with the functional leaders across sourcing, IPTs, engineering and other department in the company.
