- Assist the GM in day to day operations
- Assign duties to Head Of Departments and observe performance to ensure standards are being kept
- Assist GM in delivering training
- Selects or assists in the selection of hostel staff and completes all new hire paperwork and ensures the updating of the company HRMI system.
- Maintains accurate records including cash flows sheet, guest floor limit, AR aging reports, direct billing etc.
- Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
- Ensure full compliance to Hostel operating controls, SOP- s, policies, procedures and service standards.
- Assist GM in key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly property inspections.
- Builds strong working relationships and communications with hostel staff, HOD's and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special event needs.
- Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required hostel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance.
- Provide effective leadership to hostel team members.
- Ensures effective, timely and accurate communications flow with regards to hostel policies and procedures.
- All other[1] duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management.
- Oversees reception and all tasks and responsibilities associated with that role
