Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Marine Inspection Leadership: Act as the field leader supervising critical operations, including:
o Import/Export and Offshore transfers of Crude Oil Products.
o Import/Export and Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfers of Refined Products.
o Import/Export of Chemical & Gas Products.
o Bunker Supplies from Tankbarges and Tanktrucks.
• Quantity & Measurement (Gauging): Accurately determine transferred cargo volumes and manage precise quantity reconciliation.
• Sampling & Quality Control: Draw representative cargo samples in accordance with international testing protocols for laboratory analysis.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, verify, and sign off on detailed field reports, logs, and compliance documentation.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly enforce global HSE guidelines for handling hazardous substances and proactively report any technical or quantity discrepancies.
• Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain, verify, and calibrate all specialized field inspection equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: High Vocational Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience: 1.5 to 10 years of proven hands-on experience working within an independent inspection company.
• Professional Certification: Must be a certified member of the International Federation of Inspection Agencies (IFIA) / TIC Council.
Core Competencies:
o In-depth knowledge of marine cargo custody transfer, tank gauging, and sampling procedures.
o Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage field workflows under strict timelines.
o Uncompromising commitment to safety guidelines when handling hazardous chemicals and petroleum products.
