Role Overview

As a Production Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and controlling machining production activities for Power Products to ensure production targets are achieved in terms of quality, delivery, and efficiency. You will coordinate production capacity, manpower, machine utilization, and material availability while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and control machining production plans based on customer demand, production capacity, machine availability, manpower, and material readiness.
• Monitor daily production performance and coordinate with Production, Material Control, and related departments to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Analyze production constraints, machine capacity, inventory status, and material shortages, and implement corrective actions to minimize production disruptions.
• Support manpower planning, overtime planning, production load balancing, and machine utilization optimization.
• Analyze production costs related to capacity utilization, overtime, inventory, outsourcing, and operational changes, and recommend cost improvement initiatives.
• Prepare production reports, capacity analysis, KPIs, and management presentations to support operational decision-making.
• Participate in production planning improvement projects, digitalization initiatives, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in Production Planning, Capacity Planning, Manufacturing, or Machining processes is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes, CNC production, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
• Good command of English is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen will be an advantage.
