Responsibilities
To manage and lead the security operation at the data center and ensure 24/7 protection of people, assets, and information through effective supervision of security staff, systems, and procedures.
This includes but is not limited to:
Leadership & Management
• Lead the on‑site security team and set clear performance expectations.
• Plan and approve duty rosters to ensure full 24/7 coverage of all security posts.
• Manage performance, conduct appraisals, and handle disciplinary matters in line with company policy.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of security staff.
Operational Control
• Ensure Site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and followed.
• Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, access control, patrols, and loading bay security.
• Ensure strong controls for access to critical areas and protection against insider threats.
• Monitor incident handling and ensure correct classification, escalation, and closure.
Compliance & Quality
• Ensure compliance with local laws, licensing requirements, and Securitas policies.
• Ensure all officers hold valid licenses and required certifications.
• Review Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and statistics for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead or support internal and external audits, inspections, and security assessments.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions where gaps are identified.
Stakeholder Communication
• Act as the main security contact for site stakeholders (e.g., facilities, operations, IT).
• Attend regular site meetings and provide updates on security performance, risks, and incidents.
• Communicate clearly and honestly about issues and improvement plans.
Training, Safety & Wellbeing
• Identify training needs and ensure completion of mandatory and refresher training.
• Promote a strong safety and security culture within the team.
• Support officer wellbeing, manage fatigue risks, and ensure safe working practices.
• Ensure participation in drills and exercises (fire, power failure, system outage, active threat, etc.)
Qualifications
• Security diploma and knowledge – 5 years’ experience in security, including team management.
• Experience in data center, critical infrastructure, or similar high‑security environment is preferred.
• Good understanding of data center security risks, access control, and monitoring systems.
• Valid local security license and any other legally required certifications.
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, organizing, and problem‑solving skills during incidents.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Good spoken and written communication skills in English and local language.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
