School Nurse - Harrow International School Bangkok

• Administer nursing care for emergency and non-emergency cases for students, staff and their families
• Be a part of the medical team for nursing care in the medical unit and to transfer patients to hospitals for further treatment when required following all agreed procedure
• Communicate with parents regarding the health status of their child/children
• Update medical files of boarders on the school system to ensure relevant information is shared with other School Nurse and Boarding nurse
• Prepare medication and other treatment as instructed by students’ personal doctors or parents
• Ensure the medical units are clean, safe and provide a healthy environment 
• Be responsible for stock keeping of medical supplies and equipment for treatment and check all medicines expiry dates
• Update and share with relevant staff any ‘need to know’ medical problems of specific students
• Follow agreed procedure to ensure comprehensive note taking/report writing in relation to incidents/accidents/medicine and/or treatment given to staff to a high standard on agreed template
• Ensure notes and reports are filed to allow rapid retrieval of information and reporting to Senior Nurse
• Provide health education and promote healthy living to the students, staff, parents properly
• Prepare requisitions as required and report to Senior Nurse
• In the event of a medical required or emergency at Harrow Bangkok, provide medical care as instructed by senior staff
• Co-ordinate the operations of the Medical Centre

School Medical Unit Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day routine first aid medical care to students and staff
• Maintain a fully equipped Medical Unit and First Aid Stations across Campus and carry out regular checks on equipment in these areas
• Maintain full and up-to-date medical records on all students and staff

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing and Registered Nurse with valid license
• Good spoken and written English skills
• Experience of working with multinational patients
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Access, Outlook email
• Knowledge of the health needs of children and young people and able to interact in a positive and caring manner with young people
