Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-project meetings, draft customer requirements, and select technical solutions and suppliers for packaging machine automation projects.
- Program multi-axis controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Conduct electrical, mechatronic, and pneumatic engineering tasks.
- Perform testing and adjustments of automated machinery.
- Collaborate with new and existing suppliers to foster relationships and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
- Enhance existing systems and develop new technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in IEC Programming and PLC Open Library for Axis Controllers programming; VB Scripts is a plus.
- Experience with multi-axis controllers such as Omron NJ/NX, Siemens S7, and Schneider.
- Familiarity with automation software including Sysmac Studio, TIA Portal, and SoMachine Pro.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, Profibus, CanOpen, and RS485.
- Competency in Electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, See Electrical) and English communication skills.
- Previous experience with filling or packaging machines is a plus.
