Responsibilities
1. Security Monitoring & Protection
• Monitor network traffic, systems, and security alerts for suspicious activities.
• Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
• Maintain antivirus, firewall, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
2. Risk Management
• Identify security risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Perform risk assessments for systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Ensure implementation of security best practices and controls.
3. Incident Response
• Investigate security breaches and cyber incidents.
• Coordinate incident response and recovery activities.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain incident response procedures and documentation.
4. Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity policies and applicable regulations.
• Support IT audits and security compliance reviews.
• Assist in developing and updating cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
5. User Awareness & Training
• Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
• Promote safe IT practices and phishing awareness.
• Provide guidance on password security and data protection.
6. System & Access Management
• Monitor user access controls and permissions.
• Support identity and access management processes.
• Ensure proper backup and data recovery procedures are in place.
7. Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare periodic cybersecurity reports and risk summaries.
• Maintain accurate security logs and documentation.
• Report major risks and incidents to management promptly.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or network administration.
• Experience with firewalls, SIEM tools, antivirus systems, and endpoint security solutions is preferred.
