Responsibilities
About the role :-
Lead and manage the First Article Inspection (FAI) team, including direct supervision of the FAI Foreman. Ensure full compliance with AS9102 requirements for all FAI activities. Take ownership of the review, approval, and release of FAI packages. Act as the primary authority for FAI acceptance decisions (go/no-go). Serve as the key interface between engineering, quality, and production for all FAI-related matters
Qualifications
The Lead FAI shall have following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, quality, or inspection roles.
3. Strong working knowledge of AS9102.
4. Experience with quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
5. Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, including GD&T.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
7. High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail (critical for FAI approval responsibility.
8. Strong sense of ownership and accountability in decision-making.
9. Good leadership skills or demonstrated ability to guide and support a team.
10. Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
