Responsibilities
- Evaluate and ensure each factory complies with environmental regulations, laws, and standards. Monitor the operation of environmental protection systems and facilities.
- Supervise and improve environmental management procedures across the company and factories. Lead implementation, process execution, and follow-up to ensure compliance with environmental protection and energy-saving requirements.
- Manage and oversee the wastewater treatment plant. Coordinate with wastewater operators to ensure discharged water meets legal and company standards.
- Manage hazardous waste storage areas. Coordinate with waste operators to ensure hazardous waste handling complies with procedures and legal requirements.
- Monitor the management of hazardous waste and general industrial solid waste across all business units and factories.
- Oversee stack emission monitoring. Coordinate with factories to ensure air pollution control systems operate efficiently.
- Establish and maintain the company’s environmental risk register. Follow up with business units and factories to implement corrective actions for identified risks or issues.
- Participate in environmental and energy-saving assessments for new, modification, or expansion projects. Provide professional recommendations on environmental protection and sustainability.
- Handle applications for pollution permits, environmental licenses, and emission rights.
- Ensure all departments and factories maintain environmental and energy-saving documentation according to company standards.
- Guide and supervise environmental training and emergency drills. Ensure proper installation of environmental signage, labels, and warnings.
- Assist the Section Chief in environmental-related tasks and support inspections by external authorities or stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Environmental Engineer in the manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to the automotive industry
- Proficient in using environmental monitoring and analysis software
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
