Responsibilities
- Define strategies and manage the procurement process for raw materials, components, and services related to made-to-order machine manufacturing
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, and quality standards
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, evaluate performance, and expand the supplier base as needed
- Plan and control the procurement of spare parts to ensure sufficient stock for after-sales service
- Analyze and monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure procurement meets technical specifications and production schedules
- Develop and enhance purchasing policies, procedures, and systems for maximum efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Logistics, Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in made-to-order procurement
- Understanding of machine and component manufacturing processes
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal
- Ability to solve problems and perform effectively under pressure
- An engineering background is a plus.
