Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential international suppliers, ensuring alignment with company quality and cost requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships and consistent quality.
- Conduct regular audits and performance reviews of suppliers to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, prices, and contracts with suppliers to secure optimal costs and quality.
- Collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all contracts meet regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research and monitor global trends in food sourcing, pricing, and quality.
- Develop sourcing strategies that align with company business goals, cost-saving initiatives, and sustainability objectives.
- Ensure all sourced products meet industry standards, food safety regulations, and company quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain quality control throughout the supply chain and address any issues.
- Coordinate with logistics to manage lead times, optimize inventory, and reduce risks of delays.
- Maintain records of shipments, invoices, and inventories, and analyze sourcing data to improve efficiency.
- Monitor the sourcing budget and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on quality.
- Prepare reports and analyses of sourcing costs and savings to inform management and decision-makers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
- Experience in international sourcing or procurement within the food industry.
- Proficiency in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Understanding of food safety regulations, certifications, and global supply chain logistics.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Chinese language proficiency is a plus.
