Functions as a mid-level Process Lead.
Process Engineers in the Process Chemical Group support projects of
Power, Hydrogen and Mining industries etc. including water treatment,
wastewater treatment, chemical dosing, steam cycle sampling system, power
chemical systems and cooling water treatment etc. Under Process lead engineer
supervision, performs all aspects of conventional process design engineering
and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality / Continuous Improvement:
• Continues to learn, remains current and applies independent knowledge and interpretation about departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies and procedures relative to assigned tasks.
• Consistently and independently applies knowledge and complies with B&V quality program relative to assigned tasks. May be responsible for ensuring compliance with B&V quality program. Provides guidance and direction to others from the same project and discipline. Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
Engineering Production:
• Process engineering design of water treatment, wastewater treatments for various industry including conventional power, hydrogen, green power and mining.
• Prepares a variety of moderately complex process engineering deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, Calculations, simulations, Water Mass Balance, Equipment Datasheets, valve and pipeline list. Complex Descriptions,
• Equipment or package system technical specification preparation and procurement technical support.
• Takes the role of vendor’s package system responsible engineer and technical management.
• Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Plans and conducts independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Support process lead for complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Support or Lead (Smaller project)implementation of solutions through the project life cycle: feasibility, FEL stages, FEED, detailed design.
• EPC project site installation and commissioning TSA.
Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:
• Recognized as a technical specialist by the division having in-depth knowledge of an engineering process and/or of technical aspects of an industry. Designs a complete project of moderately complex scope within an assigned practice area(s).
Client Focus:
• Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
• Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on less complex projects.
• May provide support to business development or pursuit activities.
