Responsibilities
• Manage and continuously improve material management processes, including production planning, sourcing, purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and cost optimization
• Develop production schedules and capacity plans to meet customer demand while coordinating closely with relevant departments to ensure on-time delivery
• Lead and manage the planning and purchasing teams in areas such as order fulfillment, material planning, supplier management, and procurement to achieve competitive material costs and optimal lead times
• Supervise warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring accurate inventory records, effective stock control, and compliance with company procedures
• Provide timely information and decision support to the Engineering team regarding tooling history, maintenance schedules, and delivery commitments for new projects
• Monitor production performance against plans, including output, material consumption, cycle time, and material recycling efficiency, and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Work closely with the QA team to review quality and delivery performance, identify root causes of deviations, and drive improvement initiatives
• Prepare rolling 3-month sales forecasts and coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams to support new product launches and ensure accurate material planning
• Review customer orders and forecasts regularly to optimize production capacity and maintain responsiveness to demand changes
• Collaborate with the MIS team to ensure the availability of accurate and timely management information for decision-making
• Ensure all import and export activities comply with Thai Customs regulations and BOI requirements
• Communicate the company's vision, objectives, and direction effectively to the team while fostering a positive and high-performance work environment
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Material Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field MBA or advanced qualifications in Materials Management will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management within a multinational manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of production planning, purchasing, warehouse management, BOI privileges, and Thai Customs regulations
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and material management software
• Experience with SAP is an advantage
• Demonstrated leadership, team management, and organizational skills
