Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overseas procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing and a stable supply chain.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage overseas suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Manage the end-to-end import purchasing process, including Purchase Orders (PO), shipping, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable import/export regulations.
- Prepare procurement reports and management reports.
- Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Overseas Procurement, Import Purchasing, or Strategic Sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of international procurement, import procedures, shipping, customs, Incoterms, and international trade.
- Experience in supplier sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems SAP is an advantage.
- Experience in the packaging, manufacturing, or industrial sector is preferred.
