Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the installation department, ensuring quality, consistency, and adequate capacity to serve the customer base.
- Direct the daily workflow of installation teams, including communicating job assignments and resolving on-site issues.
- Manage the scheduling of installation crews to meet customer timelines.
- Coordinate effectively with the warehouse and logistics departments.
- Oversee daily site inspection reports and conduct thorough analysis.
- Assess and address the needs of direct reports, providing mentorship and developing method statements as required.
- Ensure the precise installation of all products for residential and commercial projects.
- Manage the production schedule and direct all subcontracted labor.
- Develop and implement apprenticeship and recruitment programs.
- Ensure and support compliance with all safety regulations.
- Oversee direct reports to ensure performance expectations are consistently met.
- Provide support for customer service requests, customer service technicians, and field measurements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience collaborating with contractors and a strong understanding of installation procedures and flooring products.
- Strong organizational skills and assertiveness, with the ability to make decisive decisions and manage potential confrontations effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to rapidly learn new systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with installers, sales staff, and executives.
- General office experience, including dispatching and scheduling, is a plus.
