Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Shopfloor Execution
· Receive daily and weekly production plan and convert it into line-wise and operator-wise targets.
· Verify readiness of manpower, machines, materials, work instructions, visual samples and quality criteria before start-up.
· Monitor actual output by hour and take immediate corrective action when production falls behind plan.
· Coordinate style changes, urgent priorities and recovery plans with Planning and Production Manager.
2. Quality Assurance and Process Discipline
· Ensure only approved materials, latest specifications and latest work instructions are used in production.
· Control typical sewing defects such as skipped stitches, seam opening, wrong matching, wrong label attachment, asymmetry, poor trimming and contamination.
· Stop, isolate and escalate nonconforming product or abnormal process conditions immediately.
· Ensure defect data is captured and corrective actions are assigned, followed up and verified.
3. Consumables Usage Control vs BOM
· Control usage of thread, tape, labels, velcro, fabric accessories, packaging items and other sewing consumables against approved BOM or standard allowance.
· Review actual issue quantity versus planned production quantity each day and verify that issued quantities are justified by output and approved allowance.
· Prepare or verify daily consumable usage report versus BOM, highlight variance by item and initiate investigation for abnormal excess consumption.
· Review weekly and monthly consumable consumption trends against BOM / standard and support cost reduction and waste reduction actions.
· Ensure returned, unused or partially used consumables are counted, identified and returned to controlled stock where applicable.
· Prevent uncontrolled line-side accumulation, unofficial storage or undocumented transfer of consumables between lines or operators.
4. Control of Excessive Distribution of Consumables
· Enforce approved issue quantities based on plan, BOM, standard pack quantity and reasonable operational buffer only.
· Verify section requests for additional consumables before release and ensure reasons are recorded for over-issue.
· Investigate repeated over-issue by model, line, shift or operator and escalate concerns to Production Manager, IE or Warehouse as applicable.
· Support reconciliation of consumables issued, consumed, returned and scrapped to improve accountability and prevent waste, pilferage or hidden losses.
5. Semi-Finished Goods (WIP) Control
· Control cut parts, sewn panels, partially completed lining components and completed lining sets as semi-finished goods under clear identification and traceability.
· Maintain WIP within approved limits and prevent unidentified, mixed-model, aged or damaged semi-finished goods on the shopfloor.
· Ensure FIFO is followed and that semi-finished goods are transferred with correct quantity, status and documentation to the next process.
· Report daily WIP status, shortages, bottlenecks, aging and abnormal build-up; coordinate recovery actions with Planning and upstream / downstream processes.
6. People, Safety and Continuous Improvement
· Train and coach leaders and operators on work method, quality points, consumables discipline, WIP control and safe work practices.
· Control attendance, discipline, performance and overtime within company rules and approved manpower plan.
· Lead root cause analysis and kaizen actions to improve productivity, reduce defects, reduce consumable variance and improve flow.
· Maintain strong 5S, visual control and machine-area discipline in the section at all times.
Qualifications
Open to Thai and foreign candidates
Age over 30 years, Male or Female
Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent professional experience (5 years Minimum)
Highly motivated and qualified line balance, productivity
Microsoft Excel experience
Manufacturing experience
