Responsibilities
-Oversee and coordinate the mechanical design process, ensuring adherence to project requirements, industry standards, and best practices
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, to develop integrated and optimized design solutions
-Conduct technical analyses, such as load calculations, system simulations, and equipment selection, to support the design process
-Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and documentation to support the construction and implementation phases
-Review and approve design work completed by junior engineers and technicians
-Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design team to foster their professional development
-Ensure the mechanical design complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
-Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry
-Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, for the creation of detailed design drawings
-Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, and other mechanical building services
-Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex design challenges
-Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams
-Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the mechanical design field
