Maintenance Inspector (Building Inspector) - สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐประจำประเทศไทย

LOCATION: Bangkok

SALARY: Starting from TH฿ 551,039 per annum

WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week

CLOSING DATE: December 3, 2026 or until filled

BASIC FUNCTIONS REQUIRED:

The skilled inspector is responsible for safety inspections of government owned, capital leased, and short-term leased office and residential properties. Inspections include mechanic, electrical, architectural, and structural systems. The position is part of the Facility (FAC) Management Office team. The incumbent is directly supervised by the Locally Employed Assistant Engineer (Inspection and Project). This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

(1) Education: A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical is required.

(2) Experience:  A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Building/Electrical/Mechanical/Thermography Inspector, or related inspection works in a manufacturing plant, gas/oil exploration plant/major hotel/resort/hospital/office complex, large school, or university is required.

(3) Language: (This may be tested.)

• Good working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of Thai is required. 
• Good working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of English is required. You can submit a copy of valid TOEIC score (Listening and Reading Section) of at least 600 or pass the English Placement Test (EPT) that is conducted by the Human Resources Office. 

(4) Skills: (This may be tested.)

• Must be able to read/interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, riser diagram, blueprints, technical handbooks and construction documents in both Thai and English.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle a large workload and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be highly organized.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, equipment or parts, maximum weight up to 25 kg.
• Must have a valid, current local driver’s license is required. Incumbent must be at least 25 years old and have been holding a driver's license for a minimum of five years is required.  Please submit a driver's license with your application.

(5) Knowledge: (This may be tested.)

• Must have superior knowledge, exceptional technical skills, and a thorough understanding of grounding system, power system, electrical / thermodynamic theory, techniques, and practices, and how to use the various test instruments to analyze and repair electrical/mechanical problems.
