Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the overall quality inspection process, from incoming materials to finished goods.
- Develop and implement new quality control procedures and standards based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, generate regular reports, and present findings to management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, including identification, segregation, disposition, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with suppliers on quality-related issues, conduct supplier audits, and monitor supplier performance to ensure component quality.
- Conduct internal quality system audits and participate in external audits (e.g., ISO) to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior QC personnel and production teams on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for quality improvement projects using methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science).
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control.
- Prior experience as a supervisor or team leader is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Understanding of ISO standards.
- Excellent English language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to communicate in Japanese will be given special consideration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. and proficiency in PDCA methodology.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work at Lamphun.
