Responsibilities
About the Job
• Lead the introduction of new manufacturing processes and ensure smooth integration from product development to mass production
• Process Design & Validation: Develop and validate end-to-end manufacturing processes, including material handling, assembly, stone setting, polishing, plating, and quality controls
• Process Documentation: Create and maintain standardized work instructions, control plans, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation for production readiness
• Pilot Run: Plan and lead pilot builds and ramp-up activities; analyze output data to ensure process capability, yield, and takt time targets are met
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with PDJ, NPD, IE, Costing, Model making, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Tools and Production teams to align process needs with product specifications and launch timeline
• Tooling & Equipment Readiness: Coordinate with tooling and equipment suppliers to ensure readiness and qualification for production launch
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements based on data analysis, defect trends, or feedback from the shop floor
• Training & Handover: Provide training to production operators and technicians on new processes; ensure knowledge transfer and smooth handover to operations team
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure new processes meet internal standards and regulatory compliance, including safety, sustainability, and quality requirements
Qualifications
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Goldsmith, Jewelry, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related field)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, especially Model maker/Goldsmith in jewelry production or related position
• Strong fact‑based decision‑making skills, with the ability to apply statistical analysis
• Proven ability to translate product specifications into effective production processes
• Understanding of rapid manufacturing techniques, with the ability to provide constructive feedback
• Results‑driven mindset with strong communication skills
• Excellent English communication skills (TOEIC ≥ 500 or TOEFL ≥ 470)
• Strong team player, able to leverage diverse expertise to develop effective solutions
• Systematic and structured approach to work, with the ability to perform under pressure
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to analyze and manage complex situations
• Creative, agile, and imaginative thinker with a diverse problem‑solving skill set
