Responsibilities
The Senior IT Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Skechers Thailand’s IT infrastructure. This role serves as the primary technical resource for infrastructure systems, application support, and IT operations — ensuring reliability, security, and performance across all systems and locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Infrastructure Management (Primary Focus)
- Oversee, manage, and monitor all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure including servers, network systems, cloud services, storage, and security solutions.
- Ensure system performance, availability, scalability, and security across all infrastructure components.
- Perform daily system operations: health checks, performance monitoring, backup verification, and user account management.
- Plan and execute installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of infrastructure hardware and software.
- Provide backup and onsite support for infrastructure operations when required.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring incidents and recommend long-term improvements.
2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and system issues with timely, effective, and permanent resolutions.
- Classify, assess, and prioritize incidents and change requests based on business impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to test and deploy fixes, patches, and updates.
- Formulate clear action plans to resolve issues within defined SLAs.
3. Application Support (Secondary Focus)
- Provide L1–L2 application support by coordinating with business users and application vendors.
- Analyze, investigate, and maintain business applications using SQL or other technical tools.
- Support deployment and configuration of application updates, enhancements, and integrations.
- Maintain documentation including Functional Specs, Technical Specs, and User Guides.
4. Process Improvement & Documentation
- Continuously improve operational processes to enhance service quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Report critical issues, recurring incidents, and risk areas to management with recommended actions.
5. Additional Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for company events, new store openings, and other business activities.
- Manage vendor relationships, coordinate procurement, and review quotations for IT equipment and services.
- Perform other IT operations and infrastructure duties as assigned by Head of IT.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure operations.
- Experience in retail, fashion, FMCG, or multi-branch company environments is strongly preferred.
- Good command of English
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Windows Server administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Network infrastructure: Firewall (FortiGate preferred), Switches, VLAN, Wi-Fi/AP management
- Virtualization: VMware
- Backup & recovery solutions: Veeam or equivalent
- Microsoft 365 / O365 administration: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD
Technical Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Cloud platforms: AWS or Microsoft Azure (basic to intermediate)
- Azure infrastructure management: Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Network, Azure Active Directory, and Azure resource provisioning
- Azure Blob Storage: managing storage, containers, access tiers, lifecycle policies, and SAS/access key management
- POS system support or retail branch IT experience
- ITSM / ticketing system experience (e.g., Manage Engine, ServiceNow)
