1. Production Operations Management:
Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer commitments. Ensure production targets are achieved in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity metrics. Monitor daily production performance and take proactive actions to address variances. Optimize manpower, equipment, materials, and resources to maximize operational effectiveness. Ensure timely work order execution and accurate production reporting. Manage work-in-process (WIP) levels and support inventory accuracy.
2. Safety Leadership & MESH Compliance:
Champion Eaton's MESH (Management System for Environment, Safety and Health) culture and standards. Ensure all team members comply with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine safety observations, audits, and risk assessments. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring timely corrective actions. Promote a Zero Incident Safety Culture through employee involvement and leadership engagement.
3. Quality Excellence:
Ensure products consistently meet Golf Pride quality standards and customer expectations. Monitor and improve key quality metrics including: First Pass Yield (FPY), Scrap, Rework, Customer complaints. Internal defects Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to improve process capability and product consistency. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and Eaton Quality Systems.
4. Continuous Improvement & EBS:
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and EBS initiatives within the production area. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on: Productivity improvement, Waste elimination, Scrap reduction, Labor efficiency, Cost optimization, Facilitate daily management systems and visual performance management. Participate in value stream improvement activities and problem-solving events. Promote a culture of operational excellence and employee engagement.
5. People Leadership & Workforce Development:
Lead, coach, and develop production operators and team leaders. Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning. Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development discussions. Develop employee skills through training, cross-functional learning, and succession planning. Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs. Manage attendance, discipline, workforce planning, and shift effectiveness.
6. Cost Management & Productivity Improvement:
Drive labor productivity and manufacturing efficiency improvements. Lead cost reduction initiatives related to: Labor, Material usage, Scrap reduction, Rework elimination, Utilities and consumables, Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for savings. Support plant cost-out and profitability improvement programs.
7. Operational Problem Solving:
Resolve production issues that impact safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as: Root Cause Analysis, A3, 8D, DMAIC ,Fishbone Analysis, Escalate critical issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with: Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, HR, EHS. Support product launches, process improvements, and operational projects. Ensure effective communication across shifts and departments.
9. Compliance & Management Systems:
Support and maintain compliance with: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Eaton Business System (EBS), MESH requirements, Company policies and procedures. Ensure manufacturing documentation and records are accurate and maintained. Participate in internal and external audits.
