Responsibilities
- Structure and lead the tooling team day-to-day operation to support production plan effectively. Support, develops &provides solution to production for technical issue related to tooling.
- Lead the tooling team to provide tooling repair service & maintenance based on the needs raised from manufacturing department. Prioritize the task from cost/efficiency/urgency point of view.
- Manages & monitor mold cleaning process to deliver most effective planning.
- Lead the tooling team to support new product development projects, delivering engineering solutions input to meet project requirements need. Support efficient transition from pilot run qualification to PPAP to SOP within specified time frame and target cost through Pro Launch.
- Lead the team to conduct design review, tooling incoming inspection and release approval process for new tooling.
- Manage documenting processes required for tooling inspection/qualification/development. Creates, maintain &updates the work instruction, and procedure based on the engineering data. Update documentation as required and establish consistent reliable change management procedure. Ensure such processes are highly effective, followed and maintained at the shop floor.
- Plan & Monitor tooling spending and budget control based on each CAR/Project/Rolling Forecast.
- Lead Corrective & Preventive Action activities for issues or complaints related to tooling either both from safety, quality or efficiency aspects
- Collaborate with tooling suppliers for new tooling both for production tool replacement & new product tooling. Start from establish a clear specification requirement order, lead time plan & drive supplier for continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency.
- Strengthen the technical capability & knowledge of overall tooling team.
- Support Global Engineering Standards including Enovia Global Knowledge Base, Enovia Change Management procedures, and transfer of material and process data from Enovia to Mfg-Pro to the shop floor
- Involved &applies the production innovation with the Eaton’s Lean & Six Sigma (ELSS) Drive collecting data & make an evaluation for process controlling &process improvements
- Performing and control subordinates to ensure the behavior and working environment are safe according to the Eaton’s MESH standard and the Eaton’s lifesaving rules. Enforce well-disciplined and keep good housekeeping (5S).
- Motivate and promote the effective teamwork
Qualifications
Basic:
Preferredซ
- Bachelor’s Degree from Engineering fields.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience and hand on the position of Engineer from related the Tooling & Mold Design base on Rubber manufacturing processes
- Good Knowledge mold design and Mold process casting or EDM
- Able to work under pressure and limit of time.
- Able to work at Nakhonratchasima.
Preferredซ
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Mold design, Materials and Metal Engineer, polymer sciences or related fields.
- At least 3 years experiences in combining advance rubber mold and tooling and manufacturing technologies to achieve technical performance.
- Experience in Tool &Mold / CNC / Tool Shop etc.
- Good disciplines and service minds
- Good analytical skills and good tool technical knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Familiar with Lean Kaizen &Six Sigma and Cost saving project
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify the root cause and cure.
- Attention to detail and the persistence to drive projects to completion is required.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
