Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement

o Act as the primary point of contact for Chinese-speaking foundry clients, handling technical inquiries and providing product demonstrations.

o Build and maintain relationships with Chinese-speaking customers and stakeholders.

o Conduct sales presentations and technical discussions in Mandarin Chinese.

2. Sales Process Management:\

o Identify and develop new business opportunities in Chinese-speaking markets.

o Prepare and deliver technical proposals and product recommendations tailored to client needs.

o Visit foundry customers to supporting and solving client’s problems with products application and recommending improvement or suitable materials and machinery in client’s factory.

o Collaborate with the sales team to create strategic plans for market penetration and growth in Chinese-speaking regions. (Foundry customers)

3. Technical Support:

o Provide pre-sales and post-sales support for clients, ensuring a clear understanding of technical specifications, product integration, and installation.

o Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and provide technical solutions for clients in Mandarin Chinese language.

4. Market Research and Insights:

o Conduct research on the Chinese market, including customer needs, competitor analysis, and industry trends.

o Adapt sales strategies based on the latest market data and customer feedback.

5. Collaboration:

o Work closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align customer requirements with product offerings.

o Translate technical materials, manuals, and product specifications into Mandarin/Cantonese as needed.


Qualifications

1. Language Proficiency:

o Fluency in reading, spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.
o Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into simple terms.
2. Technical Expertise:
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Chinese language studies or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
o Experience with the company's product or a similar technical product.
o Understanding of the technical sales process, including the ability to integrate and troubleshoot products in client environments.
3. Sales Experience:
o Previous experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role is preferred.
o Experience selling to Chinese-speaking clients, preferably in a technology or engineering field is an advantage.
o Ability to understand and articulate customer requirements, and match them with the right technical solution.
4. Cultural Sensitivity and Awareness:
o A deep understanding of Chinese culture, business etiquette, and the local market.
o Experience working with teams and clients in Chinese-speaking countries (e.g., China, Taiwan, Hong Kong) is an advantage.
5. Other Skills:
o Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
6. Travel/Location:
o Willingness to travel within Chinese-speaking regions for client meetings, trade shows, and technical support.
