Responsibilities
- Supervise and verify chemical test results to make sure they are accurate and meet plant safety and environmental standards.
- Provide training to operators and other staff on correct sampling, testing, and chemical handling procedures.
- Monitor and adjust chemical feed in systems such as boiler water, cooling water, and flue gas treatment.
- Track chemical usage, maintain inventory, and place orders as needed—while sourcing from the best-value suppliers.
- Work closely with chemical service providers to cross-check test results and ensure consistent system performance.
- Analyze chemical consumption data to identify process issues or equipment maintenance needs early.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Power Plants, Waste-to-Energy, or Biomass will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instruction manuals.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical testing, water treatment, or emissions control in an industrial setting.
- Solid understanding of water chemistry, combustion by-products, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments, chemical safety, and quality control procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with operations and maintenance teams.
