Responsibilities
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Security Architect to design, review and continuously improve secure architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role focuses on practical security engineering design, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance, using a combination of enterprise-grade commercial platforms and open-source security technologies.
You will work closely with customers, sales, delivery engineers to translate security requirements into real-world architecture and implementation designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and continuously improve secure architecture across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk posture, and industry best practices.
- Review solution designs to identify security gaps, recommend effective mitigation controls, and drive practical security improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain high-quality architecture diagrams, security design documentation, implementation guidelines, and technical standards.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to postsales and presales teams, supporting solution design, vendor evaluation, proof-of-concept (POC), and lab validation activities.
- Evaluate vendor technologies and prepare technical compliance documentation for bid submissions and customer proposals.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields
- 3-5 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or system security
- Good understanding of:
o Network security (firewall, IDS/IPS)
o Identity and access control
o Data protection and encryption
o Security Architecture Concepts
o Security frameworks & standards (ISO 27001, NIST, or similar)
Certifications (At least one required)
- CISSP, CISM, CCSP
- ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor
- CompTIA Security+
- Other related certifications
o Cloud Security (e.g. AWS Security, Azure Security, CCSK)
o Security Operations / Blue Team (e.g. CySA+, GIAC, SIEM-related)
o Network & Firewall Security (e.g. Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point)
o Ethical Hacking / Vulnerability Management (e.g. CEH, PenTest+)
Preferred (Special Consideration)
- Hands-on experience with open-source security tools, such as:
o Wazuh, OpenSearch, Greenbone CE / OpenVAS
o pfSense / OPNsense
o Suricata or similar tools
o Experience securing on-premises and cloud systems
o Experience using home lab environments, virtualization, or cloud lab setups.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or system security
- Good understanding of:
