Responsibilities
- Manage the entire estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion
- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for completeness
- Develop detailed project cost estimates, including materials, equipment, labor, and other expenses
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other departments to gather necessary information and requirements
- Present and explain cost estimates to management and clients
- Monitor and update market data on material, labor, and related costs regularly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 20+ years of experience in construction project estimating, with experience at a manager or supervisory level
- Deep understanding of estimating principles, methodologies, and relevant regulations
- Excellent ability to read construction drawings and analyze specifications
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Microsoft Excel or specialized programs
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with large-scale or government projects is a plus.
