Responsibilities
Job Purpose: Plan, organize, and control engineering operations to ensure works from the engineering division achieve company objectives and meets regulations.
Duties / Responsibilities
UNDER AOC APPROVAL
1. Ensuring that procedures in the GMM, RSQM, SOP and IOSA standards are complied with.
2. Review and disseminate the engineering requirements necessary for maintaining aircraft in continuous airworthy condition.
3. Review and disseminate the engineering documentation to authorize repairs and modifications necessitated by regulatory, safety, or economic reasons.
4. Direct liaison with Aircraft Manufacturer/TC Holder and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to ensure that engineering meets or surpasses regulatory requirements.
5. Obtain and disseminate the CAAT Engineering approval (if applicable) of engineering documentation which includes the maintenance of equipment procedures for repair or overhaul carried out internally.
6. Review and disseminate information contained in the airframe and component Service Bulletins and Service Letters.
7. Keeping management informed of changes in regulatory requirements and impact of such changes on Company cost, policies, and procedures.
8. Maintain and/or develop line of communication with other operators and manufacturers to maintain knowledge of current engineering practice.
9. Estimating costs which relate to fleet warranty claim.
10. Revision of Official Technical manuals contained in Engineering Section office.
11. Review all incoming Emergency Airworthiness Directives, Airworthiness Directives, Mandatory Service Bulletins, Alert Service Bulletins, recommendations and other special inspections and ensuring of accomplishment within required time period.
12. Ensure that Engineering communicate, and when appropriate, support other divisions and departments.
13. Managing safety and security risks and making final decision regarding risk tolerability with respect to safety and/or security of Engineering Section.
14. Draft and periodic revise of Job Specification and SOP for engineering functions.
15.Responsible for implementation of safety policy and human factor issues.
16. Responding to quality and safety deficiencies in the area of activities for which he is responsible, which arise from independent quality audits and ensuring that all corrective actions resulting from quality audits are completed within time frame.

3. Reviewing and disseminating the engineering documentation to authorize repairs and modifications necessitated by regulatory, safety or economic reasons.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
- Work Experience: Minimum 8 years in aircraft / engine maintenance.
- Good English communication and required minimum TOEIC score of 650+

Bangkok Airways was established by Mr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth who set up the airline business in 1968 as a department in a company, own by him, named Krungthep Sahakol Company Limited. In 1984, he founded Sahakol Air to take over airline business which Krungthep Sahakol had been operating from the beginning. The name of the airline was later changed to “Bangkok Airways”.
In 1986, Bangkok Airways commenced operation of scheduled flight services, inaugurated on 20 January 1986 on routes Bangkok – Nakhon Ratchasima, Bangkok – Surin and Bangkok – Krabi, utilizing 18-seat BANDEIRANTE EMB-110 aircraft. In 1989, the Company built its first airport, located at Koh Samui which was being developed into an international tourist destination. Operation at Samui Airport started when Bangkok Airways obtained an International Air Transport Association (IATA) code “PG” and was granted permission to operate flights on route Bangkok – Koh Samui. In 1992, a 107-seat Fokker – 100 jet aircraft was introduced into the fleet. Two years later, on joining IATA Clearing House, the fleet expanded with two additional ATR72 aircraft.
Sukhothai Airport was the second airport project that began in 1998. Many initiatives were added in 2000 from efforts to enhance flight performance by taking delivery of the first Boeing 717-200 aircraft with higher speed and seat capacity; to start aircraft maintenance service on completion of construction of the hanger at Don Muang Airport; to join IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP). Being a member of IATA BSP allowed the company to expand sales base and provided direct access to IATA distribution network. In 2002 the Company upgraded its safety standard, past IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and was certified as IATA full membership. In 2006, Trat Airport, the Company’s third airport project, commenced operation of airport services.
On 9 April 2007 Bangkok Airways was honored to receive the Garuda Emblem, a royal warrant bestowed to companies that perform exceptional services to the nation. It is the Company’s greatest pride and best motivation for the employees. On 27 February 2013, Bangkok Airways is listed in Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and registered as “Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited” or “BA”.
