Join our Product Development team to support new product quotations, cost analysis, and project feasibility. This role works closely with engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to develop competitive product costs and support new business opportunities.

Scope of Work:

The Costing Engineer is responsible for supporting new product development activities through quotation preparation, product cost analysis, and RFQ (Request for Quotation) management. This role works closely with Product Development, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to develop competitive product costs and support new business opportunities.

This position is suitable for candidates with backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Costing, or related functions who are interested in expanding their experience in product costing and project coordination. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications to ensure accurate costing calculations
• Developing "bottom-up" cost models for electrical and mechanical parts.
• Maintaining an up-to-date library of raw material indices, including steel, copper, aluminum, and refrigerants.
• Prepare and manage customer RFQs, product quotations, and cost analysis for new product development projects
• Analyze product cost structures, including material, labor, manufacturing process, tooling, and overhead costs
• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and suppliers to collect costing information and technical requirements
• Support feasibility studies and cost optimization activities during product development stages
• Monitor and update costing data, quotation records, and related engineering documents
• Support sourcing activities by comparing supplier quotations and evaluating cost competitiveness
• Participate in cross-functional discussions related to new product introduction (NPI) and project development
• Assist in improving costing processes, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in costing, quotation, product engineering, industrial engineering, sourcing, or manufacturing support
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn are welcome.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, product costing, and BOM structure
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Requires understanding of manufacturing processes, how parts are made
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and data management
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Provided technical data support for procurement teams to negotiate
• Good command of English is preferred.
• Along with basic literacy in CAD (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, AHRI, and testing standards
• Willingness to learn ERP for BOM (Bills of Material) management.
