• Supervise and coordinate laboratory activities and ensure the lab operates efficiently.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab processes.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Ensure the lab environment complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Lead and manage a team of chemists, technicians, and other lab staff.
• Provide training and support to staff on lab techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for team development.

• Ensure that all experiments, analyses, and processes are conducted according to established protocols and quality standards.
• Oversee the preparation and testing of chemical samples, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Review and validate test results and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

• Enforce laboratory safety procedures and ensure compliance with ISO17025, ISO9001, and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Manage the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.

• Assist in budgeting and financial planning for laboratory operations, including equipment and reagent procurement.
• Manage inventory of chemicals, reagents, and lab supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Maintain accurate records of lab activities, experiments, and results.
• Prepare and present reports on lab performance, incidents, and findings to management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with a track record of supervisory or managerial roles.
• Strong knowledge of chemical handling, laboratory techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and make decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and handling chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to lift and move laboratory materials and equipment as needed.
• Ability to flexible working hours, including the possibility of nighttime inspections and oversight.
