JOB SUMMARY:


• The Tooling Purchasing Specialist is a critical link between engineering requirements and manufacturing reality by sourcing the custom-made dies, fixtures and critical spares that define the quality, cost and delivery by coordinating with tooling suppliers and cross-functional teams for efficiency of our entire production lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality vendors for stamping dies, fixtures and critical spares.
• Technical Bid Analysis: Review complex engineering drawing and specifications to ensure supplier quotations are accurate and competitive.
• Project Management: Track tool builds from design kickoff, fabrication parts, assembly until complete final buyoff to ensure all tooling are delivered on time for production launches.
• Supplier Auditing: Conduct on-site visits to tool shops to verify technical capabilities, capacity, and quality control processes.
• Supplier Management: Optimize supplier resource allocation by balancing workload against demonstrated capacity to ensure smooth delivery and maintain vendor financial health.
• Quality Management: Collaborate with Tooling SQE team to ensure all the incoming tooling are meet specifications and product requirement.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Technical procurement and basic CAD viewing skills, specifically mechanical parts and components.
• Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint presentations
