Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the plant quality organization: Quality Engineers, Customer Quality Engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians including the existing team plus new hires for expansion
• Set the quality strategy aligned with Apple supply chain expectations and corporate quality objectives; balance day-to-day stability with growth-phase scaling
• Own customer quality relationships for key accounts: lead audits, manage scorecards, drive 8D/CAPA closure, and serve as the senior escalation point
• Strengthen and expand the Quality Management System (ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements) — including supplier quality programs, internal audits, and management reviews
• Drive plant-wide quality KPI performance (DPPM, COPQ, first pass yield, audit scores) and lead continuous improvement using SPC, DOE, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies
• Interface with corporate headquarters in Mandarin: technical reviews, quality reporting, alignment on standards, and cross-site collaboration
• Review and approve final product release; oversee incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) quality readiness: APQP, PPAP, control plans, and capability studies for new lines and customer programs
Qualifications
Necessary Skill / Experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or related field)
• At least 8 years working experience in Quality, QA/QC, in Electronic company
• At least 3 years of experience in management as Manager level with subordinates over 10 members.
• Proven experience in the Apple supply chain or contract manufacturer.
• Conversational high-business level in Mandarin Chinese (HSK5-6)
or
• Conversational business level of English. (able to lead customer audits, present to international stakeholders, and write technical reports)
• Deep expertise in QMS frameworks: ISO 9001 (IATF 16949 a plus); strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D
• Experience scaling or expanding a quality function, not just maintaining steady-state operations
• Able to use MS Office.
• Direct experience with thermal management materials, EMI shielding, graphite films, foams, or precision electronic components will be preferable.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification will be preferable.
• CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQM (Certified Quality Manager) from ASQ will be preferable.
• Experience setting up or expanding a quality function in a manufacturing plant in transition or growth phase will be preferable.
