Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Fabric Platform Architecture: Design, manage, and optimize data architecture on Microsoft Fabric, leveraging OneLake as the centralized Single Source of Truth (SSOT).
Data Ingestion & Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Data Factory (Dataflows Gen2 and Data Pipelines) to ingest data from disparate sources.
Data Lakehouse & Warehousing: Design and manage Lakehouses and Data Warehouses, utilizing Delta Lake (Parquet) table formats to ensure high-performance querying.
Data Transformation: Process, transform, and clean big data using Apache Spark (Notebooks / Spark Job Definitions) via Python/PySpark, Scala, or SQL.
Direct Lake Optimization: Collaborate with the BI team to design Semantic Models optimized for Power BI's Direct Lake mode, enabling real-time reporting without data duplication.
Data Governance & Security: Implement data access controls (Workspace Security, Row-level, and Column-level security) and ensure comprehensive Data Quality within the Fabric ecosystem.
Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform performance tuning to maximize Microsoft Fabric Capacity efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications
Experience & Background
2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or managing Cloud Data Platforms.
Direct, hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Synapse Data Engineering).
Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background or transition experience from Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Databricks.
Technical Skills
Programming: Proficient in Python (including key libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, and LangChain) and highly skilled in SQL.
Cloud Infrastructure: Solid understanding and practical experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Full-Stack & Integration: Deep understanding of the Modern Web Stack (Node.js, NestJS, Vue.js, Nuxt.js) to oversee the creation of APIs and interfaces, ensuring seamless end-to-end integration of Data Pipelines or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems with applications.
