Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

1. R&D Planning & Project Management

• Plan, initiate, and manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

• Set department KPIs and monitor project completion rates against defined timelines.

2. New Product Development (NPD) & Formula Improvement

• Lead the team in developing new food products (chili pastes, curry pastes, sauces, and seasonings) and reformulating existing SKUs to enhance quality, taste, and shelf life.

• Track and achieve annual NPD targets and successful product launches.

3. Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance

• Oversee research quality and ensure all outcomes meet company specifications and international food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, BRC, IFS).

• Maintain laboratory safety protocols and achieve zero-accident performance.

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Coach, mentor, and develop a multi-tier R&D team covering Innovation, New Product Development, Process Development, Regulation, Packaging Development, and System & Lab Nutrition (LN) divisions.

• Conduct performance evaluations and design individual development plans.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Production, Marketing, and Sales departments to translate market insights into commercially viable product concepts.

• Coordinate with Regulation and Packaging teams for export-market compliance documentation.

6. Budget & Resource Management

• Manage departmental budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources and laboratory equipment (Retort, Homogenizer, and analytical instruments).

7. Reporting & Technology Monitoring

• Prepare and present monthly progress reports and operational results to the Managing Director.

• Monitor emerging food technology trends and apply relevant innovations to departmental operations.


Qualifications

Age Requirement

• Thai nationlity; Age 45–50 years (male or female).


Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in food R&D, product development, or new product innovation.
• Minimum 3 years in a related field such as Quality Control, Food Manufacturing, or Food Product Marketing.
• Previous experience managing an R&D team in the FMCG or food manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
Certifications (Preferred)
• HACCP, GMP, BRC, IFS certifications.
• Retort Supervisor or Process Authority certification (advantageous).
• Management training or leadership development certification.

Technical Knowledge & Skills
• Advanced knowledge of food science, food technology, and commercial product development.
• Proficiency in Quality Control systems and food safety management standards.
• Familiarity with modern food production technology (retort processing, homogenization, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills — knowledge of chemical analysis and applied statistics (SPSS, R).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with statistical analysis software is a plus.
• Ability to operate and oversee laboratory instruments (Retort, Homogenizer, advanced analytical equipment).

Language & Communication
• Thai: Excellent (native or near-native proficiency required).
• English: Functional working level — reading technical documents, writing reports, and basic communication.
