Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee and optimize our food manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing production schedules, ensuring compliance with strict international quality standards (GMP, HACCP, BRC, IFS, SMETA), managing manufacturing personnel, and driving continuous improvement to meet delivery targets efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Control: Plan, direct, and coordinate the entire food manufacturing process to ensure production targets, efficiency goals, and delivery schedules are met.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Supervise food safety and hygienic controls on the production floor; ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards including GMP, HACCP, BRC, IFS, SMETA, and other quality systems.
- Operational Efficiency & Cost Management: Monitor production performance indicators, minimize raw material waste, optimize resource utilization, and manage manufacturing costs within budget limits.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors and line workers; promote a safe, collaborative, and high-performance working environment in alignment with company values.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in production processes and implement Lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance capacity and productivity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Quality Control (QC/QA), Warehouse & Logistics, Maintenance, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow and minimal equipment downtime.
- Reporting: Analyze production data and prepare regular performance reports (KPIs, yield rates, output volume) for top management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Agro-Industry, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15–20 years of experience in food or beverage manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial position (Experience in sauces, paste, or seasoning production is highly advantageous).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise and hands-on experience in Food Safety Management Systems, specifically GMP, HACCP, BRC, IFS, SMETA guidelines.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills under high-pressure environments.
- Good command of English (both written and spoken) for documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in using ERP software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Attributes: Strong commitment to workplace safety, high integrity, and a proactive mindset toward operational continuous improvement.
