Responsibilities
Responsibilities of an Architectural Works Inspector - Interior Design & Decoration
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Architectural Works Inspector with a specialization in Interior Design & Decoration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all architectural and interior fit-out works are executed in strict accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
On-site Supervision & Inspection:
- Conduct regular and thorough inspections of all architectural and interior design works on-site, including but not limited to finishes, fixtures, fittings, millwork, flooring, ceiling, wall treatments, painting, and decorative elements.
- Verify that all materials used comply with approved specifications, samples, and quality requirements.
- Monitor the progress of works against the project schedule and report any potential delays or issues.
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Identify and document any deviations, defects, or non-conformance issues.
- Issue corrective action requests (CARs) and follow up to ensure timely resolution and re-inspection.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, daily reports, and photographic evidence of work progress and issues.
- Ensure craftsmanship and installation quality meet the highest standards of interior finishing.
Drawing & Specification Compliance:
- Review and interpret architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate implementation on site.
- Liaise with the design team to clarify any ambiguities or discrepancies in the documentation.
Coordination & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in site meetings, contributing insights and updates regarding inspection findings.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with all parties involved.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all interior works adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Promote a safe working environment on site.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular progress reports, inspection reports, and defect lists to the project management team.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
• Bachelor degree or Technical qualification in Architecture / Interior design or related field.
• Bachelor degree or Technical qualification in Architecture / Interior design or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant On-site working experience in Condominium Interior Decoration or Hotel/Retail fit-out works is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required, Contractor and Quality assurance related.
• Ability to communicate in English & Thai is expected.
• Computer skills: (Required), MS Word, MS Excel.
• Able to work under constant time constraints in a high pressure customer handover situation.
• Excellent problem solving skills with ‘hands-on’, person to person relationships.
