Responsibilities
Procurement strategy & supplier management:
• Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan to optimize cost, quality and efficiency with KPI tracking.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, producers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure competitive pricing and supply stability.
• Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and minimize supply chain risks.
Inventory & cost optimization:
• Manage procurement for both perishable and stock items, ensuring efficient stock levels.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and supplier reliability.
• Monitor market trends to anticipate risks and opportunities
Quality assurance & compliance:
• Ensure strict quality control measures are in place for all food products.
• Resolve quality disputes with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
People management & leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of buyers, QA specialists, and import coordinators.
• Provide training, development and performance management to enhance team capabilities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Candidates have full working rights for Vientiane(LAO) with strong command of English.
• Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, international trade or a related field.
Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing procurement teams.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and procurement optimization in a food import and distribution business or similar industries such as FMCG, hospitality or retail.
• Experience working as part of a senior management team to drive procurement strategies aligned with business growth.
Skills:
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical mindset for cost control, procurement analytics .
• Ability to manage multi-supplier and international sourcing operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
