Purchasing Engineer - Mloptic (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Sourcing                        

• To support sourcing all supplier, goods and services to be in line with production process and project.             
• Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
• Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
• Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
• Negotiating price, minimum quantity, payment term, incoterms, delivery schedules, and warranty with suppliers.
• Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
• Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns and negotiating.
• Analysis offer price from BOQ (Bill of Quantity) and negotiation.
• Generating quote comparisons and contributing to supplier selection based on the quotes.
• Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.

Procurement

• Co-ordinate with engineer on project material specification, scope of work, drawing before request for quotation (RFQ) from suppliers.
• Request for quotation (RFQ) from suppliers & review specification to ensure that they meet requestor/company requirements.
• Support engineering in project pursuit and select the most suitable supplier that meet the budget and requirements.
• Process purchase requisition (PR) and create PO to vendor in according to company requirement
• Ensure timely execution of MRP activities.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery confirmation, scheduling and on-time delivery to meet master production plan per MRP
• Monitor, follow up, and expedite to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules and prevent production stoppages
• Monitor and ensure all goods received fully meet the functional and quality specifications set forth, and arrange replacement from vendors should there be any defective products or parts found.
• Drive cost-saving practices, negotiate savings, and ensure all purchasing activities and decisions are aligned with customer expectations & internal procurement policies.
• Responsible for SAP vendor setup and maintenance (Area related to purchasing).

• Over 5 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing/supply chain management.
• Internal contact with cross-functional departments and external contacts with suppliers and relative government departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
• Good command of English.
