Responsibilities
About the role
We are hiring a hands-on senior professional to cover Finance + Accounting in a lean team, including daily revenue control and internal audits (Cashiers, purchasing, receiving) to prevent leakage. This is a doer / controller-level role.
Key Responsibilities
- Run/Support month-end close (accruals, cut-off, journals) with a clear checklist
- Perform/Review reconciliations: bank/cash, AR, AP, POS clearing, VAT/WHT, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets
- Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) with variance explanation
- Build and update a rolling 13-week cashflow forecast (Weekly) and track forecast accuracy
- Perform daily revenue reconcilication : POS/ticketing vs cashier shift reports vs cash/card/QR vs bank deposits/payment gateway settlements
- Review exceptions (refunds/ voids/ discount/ vouchers), investigate discrepancies, document corrective actions
- Execute internal controls & internal audit routines: surprise cash counts, petty cash checks, deposit SOP compliance
- Strengthen purchasing controls : approval compliance + 3-way match (PO - receiving - invoice), spot checks receiving vs invoices
- Annual audit coordination : prepare working papers/evidence folders and support external auditors
- Support annual statutory financial statement and related DBD submission documentation (with auditors/management)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (Mandatory)
- 5-8+ years hands-on experience covering both accounting and finance / controller tasks
- Strong Excel (Pivot, Xlookup, Vlookup, Sumifs); high integrity & ownship
- Comfortable doing on-site checks (Cashier Room / Receiving Area), not desk-only work
- Good command of English: speaking, reading, and writing
- Candidates with a CPD license will be given special consideration.
