Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models of electrical systems using Revit MEP, including power, lighting, cable trays, conduits, electrical panels, and Extra-Low-Voltage (ELV) systems such as fire alarm, CCTV, and data.
- Conduct quantity take-offs directly from BIM models.
- Input relevant information for Facilities Management (FM) utilization.
- Monitor model progress, update drawings, and communicate changes to the Project Manager.
- Perform clash detection in Navisworks and coordinate with architectural, structural, plumbing, and HVAC teams.
- Update BIM models to accurately reflect as-built conditions.
- Undertake other assigned duties and be available for work upcountry as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP for electrical systems and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of accurate drafting methods, including layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, and scaling.
- Ability to utilize Revit MEP tools (e.g., Project Browser, Properties, Type Selector) and insert various family types.
- Understanding of creating families/libraries and manipulating parameters and schedules.
- Proficiency in Navisworks for model coordination.
- Proficiency in reading Electrical drawings and details.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality results.
