Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models of mechanical systems in Revit MEP, including HVAC ductwork, chilled water and condenser water piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and fans.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs directly from BIM models.
  • Input relevant information for Facilities Management (FM) utilization.
  • Monitor model progress, update drawings, and communicate changes to the Project Manager.
  • Perform clash detection in Navisworks and coordinate with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical teams.
  • Create and manage Revit families and parameter data in line with project LOD requirements and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Update BIM models to accurately reflect as-built conditions.
  • Undertake other assigned duties and be available for work upcountry as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP for mechanical systems and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of accurate drafting methods, including layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, and scaling.
  • Ability to utilize Revit MEP tools (e.g., Project Browser, Properties, Type Selector) and insert various family types.
  • Understanding of creating families/libraries and manipulating parameters and schedules.
  • Proficiency in Navisworks for model coordination.
  • Proficiency in reading MEP drawings and details.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality results.

In this BIM Modeler (Mechanical) role, you will develop 3D models for mechanical systems using Revit MEP, covering HVAC ductwork, chilled and condenser water piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and fans. You will be responsible for conducting quantity take-offs directly from BIM models and inputting relevant information for Facilities Management (FM) utilization.
