Responsibilities
- Plan test strategies and design test cases/scenarios that cover the payment platform's features and business flows.
- Perform manual and automated testing for web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
- Design and develop automated test scripts, and maintain and improve the test automation framework.
- Conduct baseline security and payment-compliance testing in coordination with relevant teams.
- Execute regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to production releases.
- Log, track, and manage bugs/defects through a bug-tracking system, coordinating with developers on fixes.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and Business Analyst teams from the requirements stage to prevent issues early (shift-left testing).
- Prepare test documentation (test plans, test reports, test summaries) and report on software quality to management and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior QA team members and help define QA standards and processes for the organization.
- Research and adopt new testing tools and technologies to improve the team's efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software QA/testing.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience writing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or equivalent.
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and basic SQL for data verification.
- Understanding of payment/fintech systems or other systems with high sensitivity around data security and transactions.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and accountability, given the critical nature of financial transaction accuracy.
- Experience in fintech, e-payment, banking, or e-wallet businesses is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6) or basic security testing is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for running automated tests is a plus.
- QA certification such as ISTQB or equivalent is a plus.
- Basic coding skills in Python, or JavaScript to support automation work is a plus.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or managing a QA team is a plus.
- Basic knowledge or experience in Cybersecurity; holding relevant certifications (e.g.,CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CC, or equivalent) is a plus.
