Responsibilities
Role Overview: Translate written script scenes into visual blueprints, testing shot compositions, blocking, camera movements, and edit timing prior to generative video rendering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft detailed storyboards outlining framing sizes, camera angles, eyelines, character blocking, and movement trajectories.
- Assemble timed animatics with temporary scratch audio to test visual rhythm and edit pacing alongside the Director.
- Produce structured, visually explicit briefs for Generative Video Artists, defining camera motion vectors and focal points.
- Rapidly iterate alternative camera setups to resolve spatial storytelling problems early in pre-production.
- Ensure seamless match-cuts and logical eyeline flow between sequential frames.
Qualifications
- Experience: Portfolio of professional storyboards, previz sequences, or animatics for film, TV, or animation.
- Tool Proficiency: Fluency in storyboarding and 3D previsualization tools (Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, Blender, SketchUp).
- Cinematic Grammar: Deep command of visual storytelling, lens choices, camera movement mechanics, and editing rules.
- Speed & Adaptability: Ability to translate complex written action into clear visual sequences rapidly.
- Submission: 1–3 storyboard sequences, animatics, or previz reels.
