Responsibilities
🌟 About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Linux Developer to join our engineering team in Chiang Mai. This role focuses on system-level development for embedded platforms, working closely with both hardware and software teams, including international colleagues.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in low-level system development, has strong Linux kernel expertise, and enjoys solving complex hardware-software integration challenges.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Linux kernel modules, device drivers, and user-space applications for embedded hardware
- Develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP), including bootloader configuration, kernel setup, device tree, and file system integration
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to support board bring-up and debug hardware–software interactions
- Analyze and optimize system performance, memory usage, and power consumption
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to embedded Linux OS, drivers, and applications
- Prepare and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation
- Work cross-functionally with hardware, application software, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality product delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Over 5 years of experience in Embedded Linux development
- Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems
- In-depth understanding of the Linux kernel (drivers, kernel modules, system calls)
- Experience with embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto Project
- Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, CAN, GPIO)
- Proficient in debugging tools (GDB, JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Git workflow and version control
- Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and datasheets
- Capable of writing high-quality technical documentation in English
